    Snap On Dealer

I have had this same experience, but not all drivers are the same. I have had several that just do not know how to make a deal. When my guy makes deals he gets me to buy. I would buy stuff just to keep the deals going sometimes. I love buy one get tone deals. Free tools are nice. A phone call...

    cobalt high speed drill bits

I have found that drilling hard items works better with slow speeds, and plenty of cooling. Cooling with cutting oil or just about any spray lube, or even used oil. Thicker oils have a tendency to pull the chips away, assembly lube for example. Fast enough not to stall is, is fast enough...

What kinda Torx sockets should I buy?

1-2 years ago, Snap-On had a deal for heavy duty torx removal sockets in the flyer. It was the usual 10%, and it came with both1/4 and 3/8 dual 80 ratchets. I had the ratchets already, but my guy let me trade them for flexes, when I offered to pay the difference. It may have been one of the...

    Snap On's new wire stripper/crimper

There were two different versions of that wirecutter/crimper. The wire stripper part of the tool has different gauge strippers, between the two. There may be other differences. I noticed that both versions are in the latest catalog.

my mac guy is cutting ties with mac

If people read and underdstood the fine print, most times they would not agree because the conditions are not favorable to the consumer. In some cases a legal expert would have difficulty understanding the conditions. Did you ever read the conditions for a software package. This would make cash...

Which 1/2" drive deep metric socket set?

I would go with 1/2 deep impacts. As cheap as Taiwan but not China. Shop around for a deal. Craigslist and eBay. Just because you are not a professional does not mean that you need cheap tools. I would look for a buy one get one snap-on deal. Which would still be more expensive than just about...

    Non-Marring Metric Sockets

snapon has plastic inserts that can be put inside a regular socket. I have a set for metric sizes, I think. There is a limitation on how much torque that can be applied. Some people use tape, but that can tear. Plastidip might be an option.

#3 Stubby Phillips with a full size handle - Anyone make one?

I did not read the whole thread, it is late and I am tired, end of disclaimer. How about trying a 3/8 drive number 3 socket and a roto ratchet this will give you the breakaway torque and speed. Plus it is interchangeable, with other sockets, which would be good for a roadside kit. Good luck.

What size Knipex pliers wrench for AN fittings ?

For AN fittings the pliers wrench is the best. You can use a good fitting regular wrench but may mar up the finish when taking frozen lines apart. Get the 7" pliers wrench. In tight spaces sometimes the pliers wrench is too big, then I switch to a smaller aluminum wrench. The pliers wrench is...

    Best 1/4" hex impact bits?

I have used makita, milwaukee, de walt, and some others. For impact is see these brands the most. I also use some Snap-On pieces. Dewalt seems to hold up the best but a big compared to milwaukee. I have had a makita gold bit break the first time i tried to use it, not abuse it. It fractured...
