Didn't take to long to clean this one up. Filed off the casting lines that ran around the outside and inside perimeter of the handle. Sanded and a quick polish.

I lightly sanded the rust off with a red scotch brite pad.Then I use foam backed polishing pads. The pads are 2 inch by 2 inch squares and starts at 320 grit all the way up to 3500 grit. I start with 320 and cont up to 3500; after that I take it to a buffer wheel.

Picked up this Great Neck no.75 Jab saw to restore.

Never paid attention to this 3-1 can. I just assumed it was new. Don’t remember when I got it. But know I had it for a while. Maybe got it from my mom. Well today I notice the price tag that says GEMCO. GEMCO closed in 1986. Guess this will now be part of my display.

Thank you, I thought they were a little older. But I was fooled by the pebble finish and the made in USA. I will pass on them even though they were free. I try to stay late 70's or earlier on my tool collecting.

Bringing up an older thread. Do you have any idea how old this Husky wrench is? I checked Alloy Artifacts but I do not see this style logo with the underline only going to the H. Someone offered to give me about 4 or 5 of them. They are a combo open end box end.

Just acquired this 2 inch Stanley Handyman clamp. Maybe from the mid 60's to early 70's. Not entirely sure though.

If I remember correctly there are 2 versions of the Ford scripted hand tire pumps. There's a doubled script one and a single script. Picked this up a couple years back. I painted the Ford script white to give it some pop.

Those are cool. There's something about these jacks that I love. All of them are considered screw jacks. Likely dates are from the 1920's to the 1930's. As for collectability, There might be some that collect them for period correct cars. Other than that they make cool shelf pieces. (Unless...

I used a China marker/grease pencil with decent luck. The excess wipes off with a dry cloth. Also this method is for more display purposes. I think if you were to use the tool then my method wear off fast. I've also tried making the engraving a little deeper with a rounded off awl before...

Here's the 1970's rusty old tool box somewhat cleaned up. Washed it then scrubbed it with a scotch brite pad. Did one coat of Boiled Linseed oil on it. Now that it cured for 2 days I will probably do one more coat today. Added some tool box liner to the drawers and top. Saved this tool box...
