    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I pretty much only print with ABS. i have very good print surface adhesion to the point that it is pulling the magnetic print surface off the magnetic bed From the ABS warping it is a 38 hour print, so will have to start it over with clips helping to hold it down. Paul

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I have had good success with mriscoc’s Professional Firmware for my Ender 3 V2. I also upgraded my Ender 3 to use the same firmware by buying a 4.2.2 board and an Ender 3 V2 display. https://github.com/mriscoc/Ender3V2S1

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

It makes a lot of sense to print for yourself if you own a 3D printer. Family and friends too. Filament cost is about $5. Not so much as a commercial undertaking. I printed mine (plus one for my son, and one for a friend of his) using my standard print setting with a 0.4mm nozzle and a 0.2mm...

    The Milwaukee addiction thread! :)

I have printed the short one from Thingiverse. It was just over 30 hours on my Ender 3. It works well. Paul

    Patio sling spreader tool?

Hi all, I replaced the fabric in two of our patio chairs and had a tough time getting the side bars spread apart enough to insert the spreader bars. I made a jig out of 2x4’s and used C-Clamps to spread them apart enough. Now I have ten more to do and was looking for a way that would work...

You can buy my printer (Ender 3) for about $100 now. When I bought it two years ago, I paid $220. Enclosure for printing ABS was $80. the cost of everything as it is today is about $500, but I probably spent $700 getting here, not counting filament. if I was to get Another one now, I would have...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I print ABS almost exclusively. It took quite some work to get to the point of printing ABS reliably on an Ender 3, but now that is my default. Round models like this need no special adhesion tricks. Anything with a square corner gets mouse ears added in Cura to hold them down. i originally...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I found a stubby nozzle for the Milwaukee M18 blower on Thingiverse. Will be even better for blowing off a just washed car. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5141506 Printed in Polymaker ABS on an Ender 3. It took 33 hours to print with 25% infill, 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height at...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I got into 3D printing because of our Motorhome. We have an electronic toilet and the controller failed. The controller has not been made for 10 years. Rather than buy a different toilet, I built a replacement controller using an Arduino. When I shared that with other owners, a few people also...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

A friend called me and asked if I wanted a metal bandsaw. I said I wasn’t sure where I would keep it and asked how much. He said free because he traded some kiln dried pine slabs for it, so I replied I would work out where to store it. It was mainly used to cut plastic, but was missing the...
