I just bought an adaptor so I can use Makita 18V lithium batterys on my old Makita 18V Nicad tools. Some of the skins are still worth using. Not worth selling and not worth throwing out. If it was some junk brand I would probably just bin them.

I'm thinking they probably should bring out a Cordless Magnetic Drill and Cordless Hydraulic pump as well seeing these are tools commonly used in industry.

Well that's a start, wish they put the charger in a more accessible location, say at the top of the unit. Ah well, maybe the next release :)

Some good ideas here, The castor wheels with center pin sounds like a good solution as does the axle/hub bearing setup.

Never thought about that one, but could be an option. Only thing is it wouldn't rotate in the same place all the time.

I was planning on joining 3 of those louvre panels together to form a triangle. But I need to be able to rotate it once done. Had a quick look at google, but need something heavy duty, might need to make up something myself. Maybe some pillow block bearings?

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has seen or built a lazy susan/rotator for storing fasteners before? Just looking for ideas on how to go about the bearing/rotating part of it. I plan to have it on wheels so I can move it around the garage if required. Thanks

DHP482 looks to be a bottom of the line thing most likely for home use.

Shouldn't a brush less be superior to a brushed model though? Where you using the Makita 481/XPH07 or some other brush less Makita?

Yeah I am talking about the DHP481. I'd rather the makita so I can use the battery's in my radio that I already have. Also I like the fact that makita have a skin for just about everything and they are more common than the other brands so parts are easier to get.
