    Show your hutch.

I ordered the hutch for my tool box today, because I am tired of the guys at work treating my box as a wok bench. And realized I'm not entirely sure how to most effectively use all the pegboard space, if you have a hutch post a picture so I can see how you use it.

The strangeness at Sears continues... (observation thread)

I don't want to turn this thread into a debate. My statement wasn't meant to imply that the ratchet would fail, it was made to imply that it likely wouldn't fail and sooner than the USA counterpart. I have ratchets that I am fairly certain are made in china at work, that I use in situations that...

The strangeness at Sears continues... (observation thread)

I don't see how rebuilding and tagging the ratchets would be illegal, it's not like they are trying to misrepresent them. No different than buying a rebuilt alternator or the likes, it likely won't be remarked either. All that being said my opinion probably isnt that important because I...

    3/4 inch drive set

What are you using a 3/4" set at home for? Just curious, I don't think I could ever justify it at home, it rarely even gets used at work. (Construction equipment)

so the snap on tool box rep came to our shop...

Not to say he is entirely true, but he is not too far off base. At least around here a good judge about how serious someone is in thier trade would be the kinda of tools that they have. Not saying every thing you own has to be a truck brand, but you can't be afraid to spend some money on good...

A funny thing happened to me... and it includes free tools!

I used to work retail, and unfortunately its pretty much necessary to profile. However, they should never have come up and asked you to leave without proof you were stealing. Also, anyone good a watching people would be able to pick you out as someone just killing time pretty quickly. That...

so the snap on tool box rep came to our shop...

I don't buy ANYTHING from our Matco guy, because the week I got my new snap on box he came and trash talked it quite harshly to me. I never did like the guy but that put me over the edge. I had also asked him about his boxes a few times before i bought and he always brushed me off. My snap on...

Around here a shed has walls a roof, and a door. A carport is open, but sometimes they are kind of a lean to style using one wall of a garage. Back to te topic at hand. I guess I work out of a shed, technically I'm not allowed to do any work in my driveway automotive wise in the townhouse...

    Opinions on ratchets

For me I need tools at work that I can get quick service on, no two weeks of downtime. Sounds like you are the same. Snap on sounds like the answer for work ratchets if that's the only reliable dealer you have.

    Service tech's tool insurance questions

Are they aware that your tools are at work and not home? I have never heard of a homeowners or renters policy that covers tools at a commercial location.

    How do you clean.........

I'm not personally looking to scrub my tools lol. I usually just wipe down and put away, a bit of brake clean for stubbon oil or grease on a ratchet or wrench, but I can't imagine this is all that good for the soft grips. I think I will try to use some simple green on them before wipe down.

How do you clean comfort handle tools, I have some instinct screwdrivers and love them despite all the haters on here. But I hate using them because I hate cleaning them after. Any quick cleaning tips?

Sorry I think I will keep it lol, it pays the bills. Thanks Thank you. However I must say that the big wrench set I have is excellent fit and finish wise, I have never had a fitting that they didn't fit well, and have never had a problem with them spreading. For what they are used for they...
