Keep all your wiring inside the 2' horizontal section and you can uncover it at any time to make upgrades, add receptacles or run other services. Use plywood and design it to be removable.
If you're low on money, you can make an air cleaner to hang from the ceiling with a box fan and a square furnace filter taped to it on the intake side. :thumbup:

My complaint is why does a shopvac have to be so loud!? It's like they engineered the pathway that the air takes and the electric motor to both be as loud as possible.
I just got a new-to-me 3 ton arbor press. It's had a bit of a rough life, but it's not dead yet and I plan on putting it to use. I've had to press a few bearings in and out recently, so I'll start with that.
