I still have a lot to do, but I am very proud of the progress to date... I even posted the following picture in the "Garages at Night" thread.

    Reclaiming my 20x28 Garage

Where I stand today... the stripe turned out better than I ever hoped. Nice sharp edges and no runs or bleeding. I painted it in three steps... a nearly dry brush to seal the tap edges, then a very light coat with the roller, then a final full coat. When I pulled the tape I was pleasantly surprised!

    Reclaiming my 20x28 Garage

So I made an enclosure for the wiring and to box in the breaker panel. Got the ceiling painted and lightly textured and put some paint on the walls.

    Reclaiming my 20x28 Garage

Down came the masonite, pegboard, and acoustic tile, then up went the drywall... that electrical panel and surface run wiring had me puzzled. My solution to be shown shortly.

    Reclaiming my 20x28 Garage

Then I planted a little seed of clean, and organized... I took this wasted space in the furnace area, walled it off, and added shelves. Some primer and I had a small place to put stuff and start organizing.

So after tearing out the dividing wall, and doing a general clean-out, garage sale, and several dump trips, I was left with this.

    Reclaiming my 20x28 Garage

After 20 years at our current home, I finally decided to reclaim my garage. It was a 20'wx28'd space, but the front was divided off into a seperate storage room that left the garage just 19' deep. It was sheeted with old pegboard and masonite scraps. It had accoustic tiles in the storage room...

    Garages at Night Thread

My humble contribution... Still got to do somethings about the floor. Its a work in progress, but some wall cabinets to get the stuff off the shelves and out of the roller carts, a floating workbench, a neon clock, and a few posters should get it close

Stuck hood release... 93 Ford F150

It took some messing with it but I did finally get it open. The main problem was that the "keeper" on the end of the pull cable sheath had come out of its anchoring point next the release mechanism under the hood, so the whole cable just slid around instead of pulling the release mechanism. I...

Stuck hood release... 93 Ford F150

Oh and BTW Warmpancakes, Bambi removed the grill for me last fall... well about 1/2 of it anyway. As I said, its a beater, but a good one... 234,000 miles and still runs strong and starts everytime! Gotta love that Ford 4.9 straight 6!

Stuck hood release... 93 Ford F150

Anybody know how to release the hood if the interior release cable won't do it? Its my old beater chore truck that's back at home and I really want to check the fluids, change oil. etc when I get back in town next weekend. I can get a pair of pliers on the cable release wire up next to the latch...
