Cooling my 6 Car Non-Insulated Garage

I was talking to a contractor buddy about insulating my attached garage. He recommended using a 4” hole saw at close to the wall/ ceiling connection and blowing in insulation. Rather than taping and texturing the holes, he recommended a 6” trim board around the perimeter to cover the holes...

    unloading/moving a 60 gal compressor

I’ll be in your area in October, I can help you then. Holding at dock for pick up is an option but looking at your location, it will probably be a decent drive. Know anyone with a shop and forklift close to you? Have it delivered there then it’s a lot easier to manage.

    Remove fresh sealer and reseal

I’d start by talking to the manufacturer of what’s been applied find out what is best to remove it and what what you want to put down, make sure there won’t be an issue. Good luck

    Tell Me About Fein Tools

A few years back, I bought a 2 pack of 4.5” Fein grinders at Fabtech for about $120. Looks identical to a Makita grinder I have just a different color. Not sure who is making tools for the other but haven’t had any problems with them. I’d buy again

    Honed concrete exterior slab

Fa from an expert here but it sounds like you are just pulling up old tile and laying new tile popping the old tiles up shouldn’t be too hard since it sounds like they are already coming up. A six foot long steel bar with a flat edge on one end and a ball on the other end for your palm would...

If the input is 3 phase, is the VFD really only acting as a speed control?

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

A majority of the leftover tubes have never had a shell in them and are loaded with smaller shots. They will go in the trash after tonight. The 4”,5”,6” shells are in the black HDPE tubes which are pretty much the standard in professional shows.

Got the racks loaded and fused. Also built another 20 shot rack with mortar tubes that came with various packages.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Broke out the woodworking tool and made a Roman Candle rack and a 12 shot mortar rack for the 4th. America only turns 250 once is my story and I’m sticking to it

Above 1200 Sq/FT Garage West to Midwest and a toy barn build

A jackshaft ( side mount) looks a lot cleaner but ultimately does the same thing as a conventional opener. When I had my door modified to high lift, I didn’t realize it required new springs, new drums, cables, and of course extra track. About $1,400 mod to a new door.

How thick metal can a dremel tool cutting wheel cut?

Depends on how often you plan on cutting metal. 1-2 times a year, I’d probably suffer through with the dremel. 1-2 times a month, M18 4-1/2” angle grinder with a good quality cut off wheel. More frequent and thicker material, I’d go corded,

Need Help building bike rack from Fabricators and CAD guys

Bolt together wouldn’t be my first option but reading your posts, welding isn’t an option. To keep tubing from crushing, you can drill the holes oversize and insert a piece of round tubing the length of the tubing so it can’t crush. You could also do a flat plate to distribute the force. From...

    step ladder for 16'6"

I found my 12’ Werner on FB Marketplace for $160. Barely used by the looks of it and lack of **** on it. It’s not terribly heavy. Downside is you can’t really get into a corner unless you lean it against the wall which my dislike of ladders won’t let me do. I’ve seen the rolling staircases on...

    Welding thin metal

A simple test with a magnet would answer the stainless question. Definitely seems like TIG would be the best option, if the need isn’t immediate, I’d wait it out.
