Also, this compressor is for my home work shop. I'm a weekend hobby type. So, this compressor is overkill. I feel that it is better to have more air than you need than not enough.

Help w/used compressor purchase Saylor Beall

I have been looking for a two stage compressor for some time now. I recently came across a used Saylor Beall model VT-735-80. It has a 5 HP Baldor motor on it and was built in 2007. The guy wants $1200 for it and will include a dryer which he says is worth $300. The dryer doesn't look like much...

I believe the unit I was looking at is an imported clone. Don't know if that is a good or bad thing. On a side note I found a used Ingersoll Rand, 80gal, model 2475, 3 phase with single phase converter for $1200. The unit is 4 years old. The owner thinks it is a 7HP unit. I would need to set it...

The 7hp unit is a heavier duty unit and spins slower. I hope that the unit I'm interested in is similar.

Eaton? I'm not familiar with them and am not sure they are within my price range? They are a smaller company. What if I need parts years from now? Are their part universal?

help 2 stage air compressor purchase

I'm looking to purchase a 2 stage 60 gal air compressor. My budget is $1400 delivered. I'm considering either a Curtis model 555vt6 or quincy 2v41c60vc. Both electric motor spin as 3450rpm. The Curtis air pump spins at 890 rpm and the quincy pump spins at 1390 rpm. The Curtis puts out 18 cfm at...
