Show us your *NEW* 2021+ Craftsman V Series tools and tool boxes!

More along the lines of. Toyota shouldn’t make a model of car that competes with the cars made my Lexus. And Miller shouldn’t sell rebranded Hobarts/ vise versa.

    Self stick vinyl wall base

In my experience it doesn’t hold up as well all the code base plus the adhesive. It’ll peel off on its own. Never really gets hard, just always stays tacky until it gets dusty then it’s useless.

Single do it all device for occasional pulling and maybe lifting

In my experience a lever hoist is for making small adjustments in positioning something large. Last time I used one was when we moved the Mill with the forklift. Hung the mill using lifting straps from the forks, and used the lever hoist between the mast and the mill to keep it right side up...

    Mini backhoe perhaps?

Sounds like you want a compact tractor with a loader. Have an old Honda I bought for $6k. Around here old Fords are a dime a dozen(use to have a ford tractor dealer in town). That’s what you want.

Is there such a thing as a tongue and groove router bit set? Better way?

The outside rails are probably already tough and grooved to the slats, with spacers to make the gap. Could probably just disassemble it and shorten it to the desired length without a lot of effort or special tools.

    How to learn stick welding?

For smaw; if it was sticks, turn it up. If it burns through, turn it down. All there is to it. A 110v machine takes a skilled welder to use because of how limited they are. Even then, they’re not good for anything over 1/16” rods. They’re so flexible that it’s just hard to use. 6011 is a...

Their adds don’t mention it. I can check the marking later. It’s possible they just used a cheap coating to save costs.

    Another floor coating question

Any coating you put down will get scratched. Even the super expensive ones like stonehard. Personally, I say bare concrete and embrace the stains. Probably the best option is for tile, use in a lot of dealerships. Other options are carpet tiles in the area where you will not be welding...

Diagonal flush cutters for plastics and cable ties specifically

I use the Klien ones a lot. Only ever use them on tyraps, so I can't say how they would hold up for use on wires. Small and light so they are good for doing long cable runs where I have to cut 1000s of zip ties. Fits in the shirt pocket, ect.

What to do with tools that just don't sell?

Old tools tend to be much more appealing when played out in a pile on a table. In person type evens are good because if it’s there in front of me and a decent price, I’m much more likely to buy it, even if it don’t need it. Vs driving 20 minutes to go buy something I don’t really need...

    Compressor air lines

If you use a 3/4” for most of it, you’ll get extra supply air. The air line sat essentially an extension of your compressor tank. This is good and bad. Can run that air nailer/ impact longer without having to stop and wait for a refill. But. Refill takes longer to get back up to pressure.

Help me Pick a Table Saw

I have a ryobi that looks very similar to the rigid. Cheapest table saw I could find a few years ago. At the time it was life changing being able to rip small pieces of wood without having to use a circular saw or do it by hand. It’s one of those tools that once you have it you constantly find...
