RATCHET UPDATE i know this an old thred now but i bought the 100 tooth roundhead snap on after reading this . any way ive had it about 2 years now used every day and it still looks and performs very well am glad i bought it really nice ratchet to use

hey if buying hf tools gets a guy out in his garage thats fantastic thats what its all about , just buy what ever tools get you out there and enjoy your garage . i dont even own a garage i have to shadetree my jobs . and as for snap on theres plenty of other brands that are just as good eg facom...

i have glued a penny to the top of a hex and used a ratchet spanner to work it for a tight space once , you can do a google search theres loads of tiny kits for these jobs , bahco being a very good one that i can recommend

i carnt comment on this set, but i have other bahco tools inc 3/8" socket set which ive hit the ratchet with a big hammer to get bolts loose and its not broken yet

seems to me they let snap on do all the exspensive R&D and then just copy the companys whole line , i carnt see the steel quality being as good and the production wont be up to snap on's standard . look like them they may but perform like them ,no way .

Hex drive set I paid £3 for at a flea market . It's from the 50's and seems to be in good order

yes there was a small amount of that crackle finnish on the ends

i love snap on tools, i have there 3/8 & 1/4 ratchets, 12 point sockets some of them new fdx in deep and a nice little set of older sockets that came in a nice red metal tray , also got the flank drive plus wrenches in combination and ratcheting .

ah near enough though ill keep my eye out for what is missing. there was a couple on the net for £150 each not seen anymore for sale they seem to be getting harder to find ,i wouldnt pay that for a set but for what the guy wanted i couldnt walk past.

The paint job ain't the best but I ain't no painter but the tools look near as new

all the tools cleaned up as new just started to rub down the box for a quick blow over and some new decals

Just picked this up at a flea market for £3 Couldn't believe what he wanted for it I've seen them go for as much as £150 It's a early hex drive in A/F and seems to be complete just box needs a repaint .
