Thank You and I’m glad you are enjoying it. I’m taking my time which keeps things looking good. This door has been on my “to do” list for 5 years so it feels good to be getting close.

Pinned the middle and lower tenons from the inside of the door to add an additional fastening point. Velcro thought this was a good spot to hang out. Did a bit of work on the inside window grills this afternoon. I’m going to glue this assembly together and then screw it to the door.

The cane work on that rocker looks really good, nice work! I need to replace the cane a few of our “extra” dining chairs and I’m not looking forward to it. They are only used for holiday meals when the whole family comes over so for now cushions cover the larger holes.

Worked on the door stops yesterday. The small rabbet along the back will accept the weatherstripping.

Weatherstrip around the door will be integrated into the stops and I plan on working on that today. This entryway is a concrete walkway/step so I’m going to use a rubber garage door threshold strip that gets glued to the concrete. I used the same on the double doors into the woodshop and it...

Started working on the jamb today. I will add strips of Azek to the bottom of the sides since those will be sitting on the concrete.

Emerald trim is very similar, just a bit thicker. Thank You It hurts me to paint the outside, but at least we will be able to see the grain on the inside.

I switch the vacuum on with Bluetooth in advance of using any saw or router, it gets suction up to speed which makes a difference. Being able to switch it on and off for clean up is a great help as well.

Finished up the tenons and dry fit the door today. Next up is getting the window cut to size and making the light dividers.

That’s a great sander, by far the most used tool in my shop. As far as vacuums get the 26 with the optional Bluetooth remote. I have 2 and don’t regret the purchases at all.

Finished the mortises and dados. Just need to work on the tenons and I will be ready to dry fit the door. I was going through some scraps that I save for kindling and I thought this representation of plain saw, quarter sawn and rift sawn end grain oak was interesting.
