    Craftsman =v= series wrench variations???

Many different companies had the contract to make Craftsman tools throughout the years. For example, Craftsman Professional was mostly made by SK or Armstrong. Your probably seeing the variation between 2 different companies products.

    1/4 ratchet

I had all Craftsman USA ratchets and sockets. The ratchets were very clunky, but they worked. No issues with the sockets. Put all ratchets in the garage sale, averaged $10/each. Bought all new Snap-on Dual 80. Much better & feels right. Much nicer to work with.

    Parking brake cable tool

I never used a special tool. I replaced a few emergency brake lines in Domestic trucks. Seems like there is a spring and tensioner nut/screw located directly under the driver. It wasn't all that involved. Is this for Imports?

Stubby ratchet that can be used like a crowfoot

A Indexable or Multi Position ratchet would do the same thing.

    GreenWorks power tools maybe?

Why don't high end ratchets have a quick release button?

Exactly! Most Pro mechanics I know do not like QR (Quick Release) ratchets. QR ratchets are ok in 1/4" drive with greasy hands, easier to get socket off. Notice SO (Snap-on) high strength ratchets are not a QR.

    Saw recommendation

You can't go wrong with Dewalt. I got a in house brand at HF with coupon it was $49, 5 years ago. I only use it maybe 4x a year with basic quick cuts. It's just ok. The blade/disc vibrates and it's under powered. If your going to use it often get a better one.

    For caliper slide pins?

Get CRC Brake Caliper Grease. Brakes get to hot for anything else, it will just melt off.

    A bit pricey...

Yeah I saw that before the fix too. It's an OK deal now.

    Who makes SO power washers?

I know, old thread. Amazon reviews gives it 2.2 out of 5 stars, not good. I have been noticing SO (Snap-on) has been allowing their name to be placed on a lot of questionable items. I'll just stick with their hand tools, you cant go wrong there.

a surprise in my new SK torx drive set

Hmm I bought the exact set from Amazon 1 year ago. They were all on socket rail and shrink wrapped, no issues. BTW, got the Carlyle kit too, comes in blue plastic case and are slightly longer.
