    old Craftsman BE series ratchet

So I just got this old ratchet. I know nothing about it. Apparently the direction lever is damaged/broke and someone tried to rig it so it will kinda work. I have to push the lever sideways for it to spin in one direction. If I don’t press lever it’s totally locked. Is there anyplace to get...

Looking for an xtra long 3/8” drive Breaker Bar

I’m looking at either the SK 45155 15” or the Snap-on F18LA 18”. Snap-on wants $85 and HJE wants $36 for the SK. I’m wanting a non-comfort grip handle. I want the longest 3/8” drive I can get. My budget is up to $100. I’m not interested in anything from Harbor Freight, plus their version...

    To Quick Release or Not?

I would think the non-Quick Release ratchet would be stronger then the Quick Release simply because the anvil on the Quick Release has a hole going through the center for the mechanism. Of course a Breaker Bar is supposed to be used in those breaking them loose situations.

Thanks for the info! Too bad all the attachments are lost.

    Some kind of old Ratchet?

The thing that confuses me is that it has a square hole not a bigger round one to put the die in.

Pull the little knob out and turn it 180 degrees to go forward or reverse.

    Some kind of old Ratchet?

I came across this in my Dads old tool pile. Nothing else appears to go with it. The square hole measures 0.6”. It does ratchet. No brand or model number on it. Is it missing the removable anvil or do the sockets fit directly into the square hole? Or is it meant for something else? If...

SK 47157 3/4"x36" XXL Breaker Bar

I just bought the SK 18” (47155) 3/4” drive breaker bar. It is identical in thickness (0.94”) to my SK 36” (47157) 3/4” breaker. They both have the screw that takes an 8mm Hex bit to remove for a repair kit. But the only SK repair kit (47155-9) currently available won’t work on these two...

Snap On Ratchet with no Model Number

I have bought a couple of “new” Snap-on tools off eBay and everything went well. But you can’t help asking yourself why is the seller selling this thing at half price.

SK 47157 3/4"x36" XXL Breaker Bar

I just bought a used set of Proto USA 3/4" drive metric sockets: 19-32, 35-36, 38, 41, 42 & 46mm. Hopefully that will be all I need for newer 1-ton Domestic pickup repairs.

Snap on is back at it with indexing ratchets (?)

I got to looking closer to the original picture. I’m pretty sure it’s another MP ratchet Snap-on had back in the day: F936MP. I have a laminated flyer on it. They had 4 different models total that I know of.

    My ToolSource.com experience

It wasn't a positive experience. I ordered a tool that was listed on the web site as In Stock for $143 on 2/3/19. Then I receive an email from the customer service on 2/4/19 saying "Thank you for contacting ToolSource. I am sorry but no we have none on the shelf and they are no longer making...

    Craftsman Video

I was at Lowes the other day and the sales guy said their new tool storage units are being made in Sedalia, MO. So far i'm not seeing any Craftsman USA hand tools anywhere. I guess it will take a while for the China stuff to run out and to be replaced with the new USA stuff.

SK 47157 3/4"x36" XXL Breaker Bar

I think it was introduced in 2015. I went to buy one and several places online say its either back ordered or no longer available. I was able to finally find one at a tool dealer a few cities away and grabbed it, but the guy said he cant get anymore. In chatting with Rebeca at the SK Support...

    OLDER Craftsman garage door openers

I got one of these garage door openers from 1995. I cant find the model number; Sears Best, 2 lights, 1/2HP, round green program button & chain drive. It doesn't work with any of the 2012 Buick Lacrosse 3-buttons. But I was able to find one original worn out 3-button remote (model 139.53779)...
