Here’s the progress on some of the drawers and the box with the trim and locks on it. Got 2 replacement keys from LDV.

I believe the box itself took about 40oz. I bought a gallon of PPG JAU single stage urethane in SO Red 73504. Expensive but much better than rattle cans.

Paint progress.

Not painting the underside of the box so I decided to take the casters off and clean both them and the underside. Looks pretty good now.

Made quite a bit of progress today. This is a much bigger undertaking than my other boxes. My main goal is to learn or at least dive into a new skill with this box and that is spraying a single stage urethane coat on it with a HVLP gun. My previous boxes were rattle caned. Hey everyone, I just decided to restore my 1995 KRL761 since I wanted the box to match my KR637/KR657 set to use as a home box/workbench. It’s missing the vertical center trim, and needs some detents. Does anyone know what the part numbers for these are? I believe the slides are 8-2188ALRS...

For sale a set of 7 used 8-2488ALRS drawer slides. These came of a KR657B box and are all in good condition. Will also work on KR637’s and KR647’s.

This might be why. Carlyle posted this on instagram yesterday. I’m assuming rebadged Homak boxes like Napa Canada has. They probably drove the Homak price up to push the Carlyle ones. Just speculating though.
