Did you cross shop against the Direct Lift models?

Compared to the 9+, the 8+ is 18" more narrow and 11.5" shorter in overall length (runways are 8" shorter). The 8+ also has 17" less drive thru width. The 8s would fit best in my garage - with the column height of the 8s, they would actually fit under my garage door tracks as-is and I think...

Looks like lowes is offering free shipping on orders over $19, ending today.

I'm curious as to why the manufacturer would choose not to have the lift certified to meet the most current ANSI/ALI standard? I imagine it is as safe as they say it is, but why not back it up with independent certification?
