Used Snap On Air Hammer Sounds Like a Harley

Looking for any input on a used SO PH2045 air hammer I picked up at a pawn shop today. It sputters with no trigger press and sounds a lot like a Harley idling :) . Does this sound like I need a new trigger/seal or what else could it be? I was not able to find out much about this model online but...

    $15 for a Wright 1-1/4" Wrench??

The Unibit is still sharp :) This made not finding an air hammer a lot less disappointing. The punches are labelled - hard to read, but something like 114RBX3X.278 on the larger straight one (the 11 may be an H?) and 54236-67DET1S7 on the smaller straight. I thought they were homemade too at...

...and a Wright 1-1/8" wrench ...and a Wright 1-1/16" wrench ...and a Challenger by Proto 1" wrench ...and (2) Snap-On 1/2" wrenches ...and a 1-1/8" step bit and a couple of punches! Went looking for an air hammer in a thrift store today and found these wrenches- a good wrench day today :) . The...

female hex to hex socket ?

You might be able to force out the shaft in a regular "cheapy" extension and use the working end, but I don't know how difficult that would be or how easily it would fit on afterwards. My google-fu was weak and this was all I could find...there probably is an answer out there though.

    crowsfoot wrenches help

I just picked up a set of Evercraft 3/8 flare nut crowsfoot SAE (8 piece) set from NAPA yesterday for $23. The part number is 774-0125 . I am thinking to try and dremel a recess for the retaining bearing as their is none on this set.

    Hot Work: Hidden Hazards

US Chemical Safety Board puts out some nicely done videos showing some recreated industrial accidents and what caused them. This one is about a deadly welding accident on a large holding tank. I personally disregard a lot of the 'safety nanny' nonsense, but when it comes to industrial/commercial...

    Redrilling Hole for deadbolt?

I have redrilled them before by drilling a 2-1/8 hole in a piece of wood and clamped that to the door. There is a jig for drilling doors if you happen to know a locksmith. Yeah- make sure to clamp it well like spotco2 said.

Educate a foriegner on Harbor Freight Stores

Side note on calling ahead- I called to make sure they had a certain floor jack in stock and was told they had three. Get down there and none on the floor and the floor salesman says "sorry". Turns out they were "in the back" and the floor salesman was a little clueless.

Got some free lights, now I need a plan

If you do go with the t12 fixtures, you can replace the ballasts when you want to burn T8 bulbs. The bulb holders (we call them tombstones because of their shape) are the same size for T8s and T12s. Sometimes the bulb holders need to be rewired, but they usually will work. Ballasts aren't too...

    Hand cleaning tip

For getting under the fingernails clean, take an old toothbrush and cut the bristles to about half length with some scissors. Add some soap onto the brush and it works great.
