Problem with a **** connector is its a compromise for an asym splice, for instance itll never fit one 12ga in, two 12ga out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I do a lot of auto wiring and still unsure the right way to make an asymmetrical splice which is to say one in two out. I have a big variety of connectors but feel like Im swimming upstream with this connection type.

Anyone know what the numbers (1,2,3,4,5) correspond to? No instructions with the tool. These numbers seem to be std across a number of different tools.

I need to crimp some metri pack 280 series. For rings, uninsulated and quick disconnects I've used a variety of crimpers from Klein to no name amazon, have found all of them pretty decent actually and never paid over maybe $45 for the tool. Any suggestions for the metri-packs?
