Best Place to get a Universal Hub Puller

Another way to get a stuck drum offn a tapered axle is to remove the cotter pin, loosen the nut off about a 1/2 turn, put the cotter pin back in and drive around the block making sure you turn to the left if trying to loosen the RH drum and turn right if trying to loosen the LH drum. If the...

    How to finish my workbench

Depends on what you're going to be using the bench for. Ifn you're doing any serious work I would suggest a metal top, at least 16 gauge (.0625"), preferably heavier. My main bench has a 1/2" steel plate top, but then it's used for everything from speedometers, to engines, to welding, to...

Old milwaukee drill tried to break my wrist

Methinks the one WWIIjeep shows is slightly older than the one browntown shows, but uses the same side handle. I have one like browntown's that I bought new, when I was an apprentice, around 1959. I like it, best drill I've ever had. Still have the original side handle for it. When I bought mine...

Are All Fluorescent Lights 'Marked' with Specifications?

Just read that Sawmill Creek article and am shocked. Our 32' X 60' X 13' high shop has 8 4' 4 light T8 fixtures (w/electronic ballasts) and that gives plenty of light. His calculations for a 30' X 50' shop show 27 4 light fixtures. A rough calculation says we have only about 25% of the light...
