Is Lowes going to take on Craftsman?

I never said any of these tools were great. I was trying to relate to most guy's that just spend time in the garage that buy these tools. I use proto, snap on, vessel, love my wera Jokers, and wiha. The only one most people know are snap on usually. To be honest I think snap on has gone down...

Is Lowes going to take on Craftsman?

Craftsman started going downhill when they stopped making USA tools. Don't get me wrong they are still a decent tool for the money, just not what they used to be. I'd like to see Menards pick them up. They need a good brand. Because let's face it toolshop tools ****. Might as well buy harbor...

How do you store your grease guns?

I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread, I'm sick of mine leaking oil all over. I use the Lucas red and tacky and it drips red oil all over. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

    Hydraulic Bending

That ram doesn't need any leverage it's more than you'll ever need. I'm thinking the ram is mounted at an angle for clearance issues if it's mounted parallel like the picture above your range is limited. IMHO the lower pic will have a better range of motion, it has nothing to do with leverage...

    Electricians screwdrivers

I love my WIHAs. A little pricey but they fit my hand nice. Another guy at work has WERAs they are a really nice as well, but I don't care for the feel. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

    Transmission Tunnel Restoration

Looks awesome! Make sure you stitch weld it, so you don't get it hot and warp it. I'd hate to see all your hard work wasted. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Large cabinets that won't break the bank

I've seen a lot of the industrial storage lockers on CL, they are all grey or beige. I'd like black and don't want the spray bomb or brushed look. I feel trying to get them powder coated or painted in a booth would cost more than buying a nice cabinet but it would net the look I want.

Large cabinets that won't break the bank

Do the casters lock? My floor is slanted. Or can you get them with leveling feet? Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

Large cabinets that won't break the bank

I've read quite a few threads on here, but most of them seem to be about the smaller welded cabinets. I'm looking for the large 36"+ wide and 70"+ tall. Pretty much all of these you have to assemble, unless you get into the high dollar stuff. So with that being said what have you guys used...

    Vinyl/PVC baseboard and slanted floor???

Thanks for all the ideas guys. I'm leaning more towards running PVC level with the wall/bottom plate. Running along the floor seems like a lot of extra concrete grinding work. Doing some research online I found some 6" diamond plate and brushed SS. This would do the trick too and would...

NG Heater, Welder and Tools on one circuit?

Matt you have plenty of room if your panel is labeled correctly. You have 4 open breakers on the bottom left. Pull two 15 amps, Run a double pole 30 amp with 10-3 for your welder, run a 15 for your natural gas furnace since that's supposed to be on its own circuit anyway, and you can run your...

    Vinyl/PVC baseboard and slanted floor???

Thanks for the idea. Yeah my drywall is fresh. Just painted it. Trying to finish the bottom so I can move stuff back to this side of the garage and tear the bench down on the other side so I can insulate and drywall that side. The wainscoting is a good idea, unfortunately my receptacles only...

    Vinyl/PVC baseboard and slanted floor???

Hey guys looking for some advice here. My floor pitches toward the doors which I suppose is normal. But what I'm having a hard time trying to figure out is how to finish the bottom of the drywall, since the footing stays level and the floor drops. I'd like to use vinyl or PVC baseboard, but I'm...

    Garage design programs??

I've been lurking for a long time now just reading the threads. Finally decided to sign up. I've noticed on the garage build threads guys were using some type of cad program to plan the layout of their garage. Is it freeware? Is it something you have to buy? Any info is greatly appreciated.
