Not as bad as I was expecting to be honest - It was held on with a mixture or battens and staples, and all came off relatively easily (with the right sized crow bar...). The worst bit was collecting it all up once it was in a pile on the floor!

In non barn news, we also got planning permission granted for an extension to our house. It won’t happen till later in the year, but if there is interest, I’ll post progress up. Getting the planning granted was a major hurdle and a nice way to start the year!

I coated the roof of my containers with a coating that increases the surface area and prevents condensation. it doesn’t seem like it should work, but several close friends have had good results and so far so good both have been dry in side.

I want it very firmly on the floor, with no hope of moving at times - like when you need to hit things hard…. i dont really want it any higher either, and the existing framework wouldn’t allow for shortening the legs.

I am still figuring out layouts in my workshop, and moving stuff over from my old place (See my thread in my sig) and am toying with the idea of making one of my benches mobile - or at least movable with lifting castors such that it moves when I want but not when I don’t. the bench in question...

Roger, we are living parallel lives again… this week I have been mostly sorting boxes of fasteners into the drawers they came out of… I haven’t got the walls up under the mezz tho, as I’m still sorting electrics and lift positioning. I like the Armco brackets tho. I might steal that.

There are plenty of ’matched’ paints available on eBay (U.K.) which match to a reasonable extent. If not, any SO box made after 2000 or so (ie with a label on the back) has a PPG code on there from which a match can be mixed. Kenosha Red changed a few shades over the years…

Great pics, and some proper progress. I like the fact you haven’t got to put stairs in - I am rather struggling with where to put mine. Interested in the rod you have put in between the metal joists too - I didn’t pick up on that at all when doing mine.

Depends, older fused systems still use those sort of numbers, but anything which has moved over to a newer consumer unit based system will use MCBs or RCBOs will be 6, 10, 16, 20 or 32A there are bigger, but rarely seen in domestic installs.
