    Lighting: Overboard, or WAY overboard?

Mine figures about 1300 using that, but my 'light switch calculator' says it's only adequate. Several fixture short of where I'd like to be.

    Loft Truss Span

Yeah access was a huge problem with the layout I had in mind for my garage. Basically where the stairs had to go if I wanted them ate up the corner where my bench needed to be and would make me move the fridge/deep freeze out an already partially wasted corner to eat up 8 feet of other good...

    best budget leaf blower

Loved my echo handheld for about 8 years now. I thing it was about $150 at my local mower shop. Not the cheapest but I plan to get many many more years out of it

    Loft Truss Span

Best thing I ever did to mine! Price difference was minimal, couple hundred bucks and my garage is the same size +/- a few inches. With an 8/12 roof I ended up with 10' of extra storage space. Only ~ 6'4" ceiling height, but it's plenty enough for me. One thing to consider is access to it...

Making wider door opening inside garage

It's not bearing. Literally just has to hold itself. No need for quintupled lvl's and 31 jacks. The current header would even be overkill at 6'

    Changing Wall Switch Outlet

I just did a whole house like this last sat. 5 rooms from switched rec to switched ceiling lights, home by noon, but I didn't have to hang 2 ceiling fans they didn't have. Plus the attic was batts and not blown in 20" thick. Ohh lucky dayyyy, haha.

3kw or 30kw? 1200', 16' ceilings, and 30 minutes on a cold windy day? I'm assuming by work area you mean bathroom haha

3000K Too Yellow for Garage ?

I can deal with 4100's but much prefer the 5ks in the garage. Can't stand either in the house though

    Lowe's Clearance Thread 2016

Apologize for not having all the details, but my store had a cart full of solar powered attic vents (800 cfm I think) for $27 and chafe marked down from 200+. I didn't need, but at that price you may be able to repurpose it somehow? They were near contractor sales

    Menard's Deals Permathread!

Sounds like the same box I'm talking about. Wouldn't call it ultra heavy duty, but seemed like a really nice box for the $.

    Menard's Deals Permathread!

Montezuma 72" stainless toolbox on sale for $499 at my store. Was ~$450 after rebate (which ended yesterday). Seemed like a really good buy for the money but I don't have anyplace to put it other than the living room right now and I don't think wifey would let that slide

Control joint questions for a new slab.

2.5x the thickness (in feet) as a minimum for the control joints. Always want to keep them within a 1.5 to 1 ratio of square (i.e if doing ~10' joints none should be more than 15'w the other direction.

    Garage "Art"

I thing I would win if we had a garage art 2015 contest. My favorite kind anyway. Have lots more but I had to store it while I've got the garage ripped to smitherines furring out and insulating the block. Left him a corner so I didn't have to hear about it Edit; sorry for the sideways...
