I really like the idea for using a shade fabric over the cathedral style ribs, and I don't think I've seen anything done quite like that. You have the mad skills to do it, so I'm looking forward to see how it ends up.

The exterior pictures at dusk turned out awesome. Your friend has some serious skills. You should print them, frame them, and hang them somewhere in your garage...

It is the original paint. Its in really good shape but at some point I'll need to replace the door seal, its not very flexible anymore. With the garage, I want to make sure its completely organized so that when I do find that project car, I won't have to climb over stuff, or search for tools...

There was an episode of Sweat Equity on DIY Network a few years ago, and the guy had built custom cabinets and spent a lot to make it nice. Ultimately it added equity, but not as much as it had cost him. I think its more important to do what you want with your garage and not worry about...
