It looks fine for no snow load. Your design flaw is support in the middle. The center will sag with any load on it. Your cross support needs to be sized for load carrying.

I think you may want to rethink the floor in the gym. 3/4" osb will probably feel very boncey and may sag between joists with heavy weights used on it.

Sounds like the fuel filter is clogged. Once it shuts off the pressure is off the filter material and it becomes unclogged until it runs again for a while.
