Polishing with crocus cloth is a tedious process. Keep it oiled and keep running it. I always just used tool oil....I don't remember what it was ......cool tool maybe. Any light oil works. Just needs a lubricant.

Usually you don't need the corners in your fixturing. You can drill the corner before machining the jaws, take it out afterwards plunging a two flute end mill, or just overrun the corner when your milling the profile. Just be aware if you use a two flute to plunge, the bottom of the cutter...

As a work around for your buffering issue you might try adding a pause (M00) to your program. I would often use it between roughing and finish passes to blow off the part or between drilling and tapping cycles to blow out the holes or add tapping fluid. You could also try turning on the line...

I don't know if this will help but I had the same pain issues you are describing. I was sleeping on a ice pack every night just to be able to somewhat function. Went to several doctors and had scans and such done and was told they couldn't help and prescribed lidocaine patches which did help...

Make a guide block out of 1 1/2 steel and bolt or clamp it down then use a bottoming bit. The bit broke because it was in a bind.

They are just bushings. I limped mine along for quite a while on the Goodman in the shop. I just sprayed the bushings with dry silicone spray while it was running every so often.

That drives me nuts too. The tool to reset them is usually under the foam in the case.
