That leatherette and canvas set is seriously dope! And I know that telecom only runs 47VDC, but electrical tape is not an insulator.

Target Of Opportunity. In other words, a sale you just happen across, as opposed to one you were deliberately looking to go to.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I was going to go and test out the previous mentioned fix to my kipplauf but a friend called me this AM and asked for help in finding a lost dog. So, I made flyers for him and helped run them out. After that, I pulled the headstock on the Dalton, and started getting that cleaned up on the underside.

What type of shop do you have?

Mostly metal in my 11'x13' hole in the basement. I can't really squeeze a car in there, but if I try...

2026 Garage Sale Thread (15th Annual)

Slow holiday weekend, meaning not much in the way of good sale hereabouts. But, when I check CL this morning, I saw a listing for a semi-interesting sale, but, sadly, I had something I had to do this AM. But, once that was finished, I headed out for the sale. Which turned out to be a one day...

A #2 arbor press for less than a hundred is a find! (that looks like a Dake, I wonder if they made them for CM?)

I also found (?) time to go downstairs to the basement shop and diagnose and hopefully fix a faulty extractor/ejector on my new (to me) kipplauf. We shall see if the spring I found in my magic bag of springs is strong enough. (sorry for the blurry photo)

During the week, I had some spare time and was in the neighborhood, so I swung by the Restore, where I found the following sockets: Walden oval drive, Armstong (pre-77), Wardsmaster, and Snap-on. drivers: Plomb pebble, Walden spinner, and Xcelite 1/16 hex. $3.50 for all of that

I prefer to sell on eBay, others prefer here in the classified section. I avoid PM like the plague and have never sold anything on FB, as I prefer to sell on CR if I need to sell something shipping isn't practical. If you do sell here, make sure it is in the proper section, otherwise it is a...

My brother is an architect, and he used to be one of the approved designers for a community that required everything to be parked in a garage. So, most of the houses had a large building of some sort that matched everything else in the community, was approved by the HOA, that they could park...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

I have come across people who say you need a three bay garage with pit and lift if you are even going to change your oil, let alone restore a car, and we prove them wrong every day!

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

While waiting for tooling to show up (what, is there a slow boat from LA to Oregon?) I have been doing more purging. As I have a tendency to pack rat, this should have been done years ago, but the last back operation put a kink in that I am only starting to straighten out.

2026 Garage Sale Thread (15th Annual)

I found time yesterday to hit two local farm estate sales, and both were total clear outs run but medium sized companies - my favorite, and I wish I could have gone when they opened, but Sunday is funday, as they say. Both sales were supposed to be 75% off that day, but were just trying to get...
