    Thanks. The paint really does make a difference. In the shop area I have 7 8 foot fixtures and 12 4 foot fixtures. I also have an 8 foot fixture in the clean room and 2 4 foot fixtures in the small storage room.:thumbup:

    still tryin to figure this out..

    In my 28 x 32 shop I have 7 8 foot lights and 12 4 foot lights. I also have white semi gloss ceiling and walls. I like not having any shadows in the shop.:beer:

    Shop was 32 x 28 or 896 sq ft. Now is is 44 x 28 or 1232 sq ft. I am in the process of painting right now. Man, rolling that ceiling paint on is hard on the neck.

    Been a while. Still working on the main part of the shop. Installed the ceiling and interior walls. Insulated the attic and walls. Finishing all the wiring tomorrow. Hope to start painting the interior this week. Planning to completely finish inside this month.:thumbup:

    Designing a moveable/stationary table

    I did that with my welding table. It's made of 3x3 angle iron and has a 4'x8' steel top 1/2" thick. Table weighs around 1200 lbs. I installed some regular steel casters and then I welded jack screws on each leg near the casters. I just lower the screws and the tables weight keeps it where I...

    Steel Toe SHOES needed... Ideas?

    When I had to wear them I usually bought Red Wings or Knapp. I think the Knapp salesman came to the shop to sell shoes. They were usually around $100. One time I did buy some Goodyear brand shoes from wallyworld. They were cheap but they were OK. Good luck.:beer:

    We finally got the siding on half of the shop. The other two sides are in the afternoon shade and will require a lot more piecework. Using Hardiplaks for the siding. Hope to get the siding finished later this week. I have to go back to work tomorrow so my progress will slow down.

    Thanks. The shop was originally built in 1987 using lumber that was pulled from a house built in the 1920's. Some of that wood was so hard that it would split when it was hit with a nail. Man it felt great not to have to get up on that roof today!

    Been a few weeks since my last pics. I am surviving the brutal heat so far. Over 100 most days now. We haven't had rain since July 4. Got the roof finished today.:thumbup: Siding was also delivered this morning. Going to work on the doors next.
