I use mineral spirits. I found that it was cheapest from Wal Mart of all places. The water based stuff did not work to cut greasy crud when I tried it, plus it smells like dirty diapers.

I'll check it for level. I guess the box could be crooked on the legs. I use it all over the shop, and it does it every place I use it.

You can probably replace the drain and supply lines without replacing the entire sink if you are trying to keep that look. Although with the rust stains on the porcelain it might be better to get a different sink from a salvage house.
