I hate Christmas for several reasons. So all I ask for is it to be over for another year. I enjoy the family time and being able to get the kids (22 25) a few things and give them some cash to help out. But all the hype and other **** really detracts from the true spirit of the Holiday.

Are you talking about new material or scrap or drop. We are getting about 15-18 cents a pound for our mild steel drop/scrap. New plate we are paying about 65 cents per pound for mild steel Structural shapes we pay about 82 cents per pound for mild steel

The guys that did mine used a laser level. They would smooth out a a few spots at grade then just hand screeded it from those spots. I did not want any rods or re-bar pounded through my vapor barrier. One guy I had quote it wanted to put in 40 bars.

I would have gone with 36" over hangs in place of the 24". **** still splashes up on the sides of the building. Would have skipped the insulation on the sidewalls between the tin and framing. Makes is a pain to add more insulation later due to the vapor barrier.

Welcome. I'm in southern Wisconsin also. I just poured mine on 10/4. My guy said if we did not pour by 10/15 or so he would wait untill spring. As ths temp goes down the price of concrete goes up. Takes more additives they also use hot water and charge more for that also.

Never did any mail order with them. But go to the store more than I should. Been around along time and seem to have quality stuff. No complaints from me about them.

Thanks for the replies. Give me some new things to consider. I have a roll of .250 backer but with out some serious squeezing and squishing it will not go in the saw cut. Might have to look into the sand idea.

The instruction I got from the guy who did my design. Was to pressure test at 75PSI for 24 hours, maintain 30PSI during the pour.
