You have to take the wood top off the cart to put the top box in place. Since it's shallower there's a gap of two inches. I know I will end up setting stuff there. On my old smaller box CM made a mat that went between the two (to protect the exposed top of the lower box). What do you guys use...

Yea, but when my buddies come over to help wrench it's nice not to have to stop every three minutes to tell them where something is. Or have them wear out my drawer slides looking. lol
