2 post lift in the right spot

I had overhead concerns,,,, I used a floor jack to find balance point of 4 vehicles, from a Jeep Wrangler to a full size Tundra. I then measured fore and aft from this point on each vehicle then overlayed the measurements. I set my posts so that all these vehicle would clear the overhead when...

So much for a "simple" Briggs & Strat carb overhaul

I appreciate your efforts, and outcome...looks great! Some years ago my friend wanted to borrow my Tiller ( Montgomery Wards ). I told him sure, I"ll help you load it up on one condition..that I never see it again. Away he went and I never seen it again..he is around all the time but that...

Can sliding barn doors be mouse tight?

I don't want cat tracks all over my vehicles, so, I invite the mice in to eat all they want. I keep 4 simple feeders in the corners of the building, right up against the wall. They just eat, and eat, and eat.... Then they play dead. Most go outside to expire...sometimes I have to sweep one out...

    Checking car for vacuum leaks?

I know nothing of Saturn,,,,but... Find your airflow meter, map sensor, or whatever measures the air quantity going in the motor. This could lead you to the problem possibly. Bucking, jerking, especially in reverse often indicates unmeasured air going into the intake. I have found many with...

Bendpak XPR-10A lift install - foaming ATF ?

Well that is a mixed bag for sure... Happy to hear it is working, but that is sure a poor way to get there. Enjoy your lift.... I will check my power system as well. I have no problems but now I at least want to know. I too had been waiting to hear the outcome..it sure wasn't what I would have...

    New bendpak xpr-10

...........yep...I fixed one flat tire, serviced two of the family vehicles, used it to move the jeep hardtop back in place for winter...and dropped the exhaust and oil pan so I could roll in new main bearing in an old car, nice and quite now! That is just this week. I'm thinkin I need to weld...

What oil in new Bendpak lift?

I used regular dexron III and it has been perfect..only 6 months ago but it works great. I would use the standard fluid. You have no clutch plates, brake bands that wear. I bought my fluid as bulk Chevron where I work, easy and cheap.

    Air Compressor moisture question

I appreciate your attitude in your post, but, I don't find it insulting at all. There are 2 bungs on the side of this upright tank and the hose fitting was installed by the previous owner into the upper hole..I have left it that way so far. I was kind of hoping that someone would chime in with...

    Air Compressor moisture question

Thanks for the ideas.... I do understand the basics of condensation but sure needed a nudge to get me thinking differently about my problem. For the most part, I think the tank is too hot for only running a few cycles...I would never had thought about a compressor problem like bad valves. I...

Bendpak XPR-10A lift install - foaming ATF ?

We have all had the problem of finding that cable tab! Sorry to hear that you have foaming problems, I did not..I feel fortunate. I don't think that detergent caused foam... induced air or cavitation is more likely. I am using dexron III. I filled my tank...raised the lift about 2ft as I...

    Air Compressor moisture question

For 20 years I had a small Sears horizontal tank compressor...did tons of body work, paint jobs etc...ran it to death. When ever I would drain it water would run across the floor. I used ice buckets and all the tricks to trap water when the paint was at hand....all seemed normal. A couple...

Bendpak 10A....where in the freak is the carriage lock plate?

Cool deal! glad to see it up and running... I use mine all the time...for everything. Last night we lifted the front on my sons riding mower ( using 2 lifting arms placed right behind front wheels ). We went up just short of 90 degree, replaced the drive belt, cleaned the deck, removed and...
