Wire the light to the switch (Ankuoo NEO switch in my case) and control it via WiFi with the app. This switch can also be operated manually since its a push button style switch.

I use a Ankuoo NEO Wi-Fi Light Switch (Amazon) for the shop porch lights. No complaints.

I opted to run my IR tube right down the middle. It gets a little cooler the closer to the walls you get, but nothing to be worried about. I personally don't want the heat beating directly down on me while I'm working anyway.

Finally took it up. Wasn't bad at all really, and the jack stands really adds piece of mind when you're under it. I measured 11' from the back wall to the base plate and snapped my chalk line. Plenty of room all the way around for me. Approximately 3' in front and around 6' from the right...

Nice space for sure. Based on your door sizes, I suspect you have 14' walls? How much headroom do you have on and under the mezzanine/loft?

1 Deg outside and 54 in the shop. Bumps up to 63 automatically when the lights get turned on.

Thought I forgot something---here's a shot of the door operators I ended up going with. I was on the fence between these and a LiftMaster, but the belt drive and simplicity of the Zap sold me. The motor is super quite and all you can hear is the garage door hardware when opening and closing...

Thanks. Being that we live in a subdivision, I didn't want it to look too "barn-ish" and be an eyesore for the neighborhood. I think it turned out great and haven't received any negative feedback (at least to my face).

I'm not a fan of the look, but that's just how this particular seamless gutter company runs all their porch drains. I would of like to of seen it just spill over the center ridge of the porch roof myself.

It's been a long summer and fall (time actually flew by) but it's time to start enjoying the fruits of my labor. Electric, heat, Cat 5e, gas, and water all done for the most part. Still need to wire the man door light and lift and then its time to start moving in and building work benches...
