So I picked up a belt driven craftsman grinder today, the whole rig looks like it was assembled in the late 50’s by a pretty decent guy. This is the electric motor that came with it Submitted for your viewing pleasure but any information will be greatly appreciated as I know zero about them.

All battery brushes are consumable, no matter what type. It’s just a matter of getting the most bang for your buck. I would also invest in a scissors style battery carrier; makes removing some easier and carrying them from your workspace to wherever so much easier.
