    Hodge-Podge Socket Set

    I’m a craftsman guy and I buy mostly at auctions. I have ammo cans full of US sockets that one day I hope to make sets out of. I avoid it because I know once I start, it’ll become a quest and we all know what that leads to.

    Observations on the availability of Craftsman RHFT ratchets

    They are definitely less common in Appalachia. The most common I find are the tear drop/long lever and the more recent pear head. I was lucky to find a 3/8 flex transitional, non QR/Hourglass selector once.

    What is it?

    Looks like an ink pen with the slivers of magnetic metal being stored in the barrel. Pull the “cap” off and it reveals one of the slivers held in by a colett of sorts. The metal slivers appear to be consumable.
