I agree. I's annoying to hear that they need (fake number) 70% usa made to comply with standards and so, instead of doing the manufacturing and letting it land at 80% or 98% for the best tool they will scratch and weasle around so that it lands exactly at 70% usa made and not a penny more.

looking at them they do seem to have a similar machined groove at the base of the socket. Duralast paints in the groove, snap on doesn't. Hard to tell without a true side by side comparo

I bought a combo set of metric short and deep Duralast sockets a while back. Was a few bucks cheaper than the non-sale Craftsman. Then we had the $5 off $5 coupon fiasco and I tripled my socket collection with laser etched Craftsman with rails. Now the Duralast set is in my Salvage Yard...
