    Singlecut Feedback Thread

Thank you. Thank you to everyone who gave me feedback. When Altec had created this, I had thanked him and simply never looked at this thread. Part of it was because inventory was slowing, part of it was because life turned up and I had to divert attention. In September of 2011, I shipped off...

    mac tools

I am a huge Mac toolbox fan. My 26" economizer is fantastic. I also have the 1/4 locking extension set, they are great! Pliers are good.. ratchets are eh. I went snappy for those. Can't speak on much else.

What to do with old crappy but not dead tools?

Truck toolbox, make-a-tool bin, and I do like the auto-hobby shop donation idea. However, use discretion, because you wouldn't want to donate a tool so worn down that it will cause severe damage under use.

    Flexheads...floppy, locking, or indents?

+1 for floppy. I had the cheap Stanley locking flex and it is an honestly good tool, its just not as nimble as the others. So when I got an FLF80 I felt like I could get everywhere. I like the flop because I've found that having that extra articulation while ratcheting back and forth is...

    Grip Tite Sockets

I have a set of these and they are worth their WEIGHT in GOLD. I think I paid $20 at checker/oreilleys. These have saved my behind so many times. Never fail and surprisingly the socket doesn't really wear out.

    Do you buy engraved tools?

Cheap, sure. Retail, no. Caveats: 1)If I own a tool that is just too rare 2)if engraving it will degrade the strength or cause a spot for rust to attack. Examples: 1) USA stamped FLF80. My favorite, go-to tool. 2) A crows foot/ flare wrench. If they get rusty you're asking for it to spread and...
