    Lighting for 19x24 woodworking space

also, good point from mike93lx i forgot to mention. I went with more (20) of the 22w 4foot lights so i could cover more area with lights, as opposed to 10 high powered fixtures. Since the ceilings are low, you dont have the benefit of height to help spread the light, so I used more lower...

    Lighting for 19x24 woodworking space

I have a similar space, 18x24 2 car under garage with just over 7 foot ceilings. The white paint will make a big difference with the low ceilings. I used the 22w Hyperikon light on amazon, 4000k, 2200 lumen, I think there were and still are about $60 for a 4 pack. I used 20 of them, 3 rows...

    push in connectors

U can by Wago on Amazon. A 100 count box of 4 conductor 12awg is about $12 shipped. If you have any amount of wiring to do they are money well spent and work very well.

    Lighting plan review...

It depends on the color temperature. I like the soft white too, I did my shop with 4000k (daylight/soft white) LED's, and the color seems exactly the the same as soft white/daylight florescent i had in the past. may be worth seeing some soft white LED shop lights in person.

    Electrical Back Feed Question

That 10/3 gets pricey. My fuse box is in garage right next to garage door so I went out house just above the box. The interlock was most expensive piece. I think with the 30 foot generator cord I spent about 180. Hopefully I never need it again either but after back to back nor’easters this...

    Romex bent too tight?

If you are concerned you could always buy or rent a wire stretcher. With 12g romex you can get an extra couple inches for every 10 feet of wire easy.

Anyone have Garage Door lighting? For when open....

Here is how I did it. There are 12 total 4 foot leds on this workshop side of the garage, The other side has 8 lights total. I added outlets where the old single light bulbs were so I could run them off existing light switch. The old garage doors were so close to the ceiling, I had to hang...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT Subterranean Two Car Garage

Re: Outlet wiring I get the OCD thing. In my mind the thought was to be able to look anywhere in garage and see what circuit a tool is plugged into so if I want I can be sure I use a different circuit for different tool. I suppose I could just “know” left outlet is one circuit and right...

The products do look similar. I think the engineered paneling has come a long way in recent years. Was the fiber cement easy to work with? I know here some of the Hardin-siding can be a bit difficult because of all the fiber/cement dust etc.

Outlet wiring Started wiring my outlets. As I mentioned earlier, I am doing a multi-circuit run with 12/3 romex with ground and double pole 20amp GFCI breaker. Since the 2 circuits share a neutral you need to pigtail connections. One big added benefit to this is I can do the majority of the...

    Split Wired GFCI

GFCI doube pole breaker is how I am doing it. I am going to do a writeup soon in my garage thread. I ran 12/3(with ground romex) . The breaker for my panel was $90, but not needing any GFI outlets, the contractor packs of standard outlets cost next to nothing. I am doing surface mounted 4...

Finished hanging last couple of panels, and painted all the exposed walls, door, trim etc the same color as the paneling. Next Step is a needed clean up, outlet wiring, and start the Miter station/workbench/storage that will run the full length of the left wall. I have quite a few cools idea...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT Subterranean Two Car Garage

Good question. In nearly 2 years since I’ve owned house with some serious snow and storms I have never had water in the garage. There are 4 large steel grates, with French drain in front of the garage doors at lowest point of the driveway. After the grates the driveway starts to pitch other...

Here is the paneling going up, i kept it about 1.5 inches from ceiling and 2.5 inches from floor to allow for airflow behind panels. I love the primer color on this paneling, a nice tan/beige, since I am primarily a woodworker it will help hide all the saw dust. I have some exterior paint...
