How to make my entryway gate keypad "Smart"

Yeah unfortunately everything is all fabricated and powder coated and installed… been looking at a few strikes that I might be able to swap in place of the magnet without too much cutting and welding and doing sections of touch up paint but would have been 1000% easier on the bench. Maybe on...

How to make my entryway gate keypad "Smart"

I think so? The keypad doubles as the computer all in one… so I think trying to wire it to the other override (exit button) then it “should” kill power to the magnet to open the gate… if not maybe just splice it into the exit button… I also found this exit button that has a built In wifi...

How to make my entryway gate keypad "Smart"

That’s great feedback…thanks! looks like I should just buy it and see if it will work. I wish they listed the Locinox slimstone-2 keypad as compatible on their site…. Still seems like the best plug and hopefully play option. Some of the other ones out there are less expensive but then your are...

How to make my entryway gate keypad "Smart"

I have been working on this never ever ending entryway gate... long story very long I remade the gate twice because I found a really cool self closing hinge that has crazy specs on the gap between posts and gate and also the thickness of the wall of the steel tube... but because I didn't want to...

Help me find the right electric motor for Italian mitering-head bandsaw…

So it took a minute… but it got done. Thanks for all the help in finding the right motor and all the suggestions. I found a machinist to make an adapter plate to attach a baldor motor. Still need to mount the VFD, this was just a quick wiring job to make sure everything fit and motor worked.

Help me find the right electric motor for Italian mitering-head bandsaw…

It's not a terrible idea... it would be great for future tool purchases to have the capability to run them... but I haven't seen anything less than $1k for a step-up transformer without trying to source the components and "attempt" to building my own... and at that point might as well sell the...

Help me find the right electric motor for Italian mitering-head bandsaw…

Two quick questions… 1. (Pic) does this part come out of the shaft? If so is there a special tool/puller to remove it? The flange/collar can’t come off with that in the way. Pics below explaining better. 2. I found this motor on eBay (link below) and it looks like the shaft isn’t the same… but...

Help me find the right electric motor for Italian mitering-head bandsaw…

I looked at the step up transformers and it started getting really expensive and made more sense to just sell the saw at that point. That’s why I figured a used motor on eBay with a VFD is a more affordable option to try. Also you were right on the calipers. 24.03mm is the most accurate...

Help me find the right electric motor for Italian mitering-head bandsaw…

I can do "creative" as long as it functions. Not sure what you mean about clockwise from the shaft? The VFD has forward and reverse, so if the shaft is viewed counterclockwise I just put the motor in reverse?
