I hate putting away my tools...

We put a rotary 2-post 7k lb lift in our old shop in 1994, and moved it to our new shop around ten years ago. We still use it every day, and some days it gets multiple vehicle put on it. I know we have had a leaking cylinder repaired at least once, maybe twice, but still that's 20 years of hard...

I went back and read it again... I concede! I read it as hp when he clearly said ph... Shows how little I know about this stuff... My experience with electric motors is replacing automotive starters, power window, a/c, and cooling fan motors. I'm a car guy. The car I worked on today has 860HP...

He is looking for a 3hp motor, mine is 1hp. I didn't know when I asked that it was a good press... for all I knew it was a huge boat anchor that parts were discontinued for it 50 years ago. :o I'm happy to have it!

I got it home today, so here it is sitting in my shop! I cannot believe someone abused the table by drilling so many holes through it... just stupid in my opinion. But hey, I can't complain for the price I paid for it! :D Now I have to figure out how to wire this thing and check it out!

A plonker is an idiot haha... apparently I fit that category since I had no knowledge of vintage drill presses until yesterday haha. free bottles and torch cart...

Thanks for commenting guys... First, I have to search to see what a plonker is:dunno: Second, somebody said I **** ;) but what makes me **** even more is that he gave me a torch cart, 50ft dayco oxygen and acetylene hose, oxygen and acetylene bottles, Forney medium duty torch and gauges...

So how much does this thing weigh and how many guys do I need to take with me to move it? Does it need to be transported standing up?

Ah, so that's called a "Wahlstrom Float Lock drill vise in size large with the quick release option." HAHA Is that rare? I've looked at pictures of these presses on the web and haven't seen that piece on the ones I've looked at. I have 220 in my barn, so I'm good there...

Did they come with those electrical boxes mounted to the side or was that added?

My father-in-law gave me this yesterday. He has never used it, but he said it was hooked up and working when he bought it. Funny thing is, I didn't even know he had it. The only thing I saw wrong with it is the vertical strip that has the teeth on it that lets the work surface up and down is...

I'll get some scale pics next week at work. It was found in the trunk of a junk car that went to the crusher. It doesn't appear to have been modified, but there appears to be a piece broken off and missing. For ideas, we have a military base and aviation college, and several places that work on...

I think it's kind of extreme for hog ring pliers... and it would be super slow.

It's very nice to be home made... welding is very nice and it has machined parts.
