It always feels a bit different to do it when it's not yours and you don't have too. I've been know to clean things that might overwise never get cleaned, like water softener brine tanks or under the hinge of the washer lid, lol. The best part is not telling.

After reading this thread earlier this summer I ordered a Type II Justrite can off of Amazon for about $120. I've been using it a couple months now and it is by far the best can I've ever owned and far superior to any plastic cans. No going back.

You beat me too your conclusion that you were over applying. I didn't figure this out until I sprayed with it and got a feel for how thin of a coat worked best. After that I was able to brush better without the need of anything but the right brush/pad.

I think you'll find that most around here have the attitude of, "why pay for something you can do yourself" and if the only thing holding you back is failure then your never going to learn and improve. Give it your best and test it without the cars in the garage.
