Can you add a Hay loft style hoist with trusses?

Not a big deal. The cost was the same.

Can you add a Hay loft style hoist with trusses?

I didn’t want any issues cutting the end wall truss for a door opening. Thinking about it now it would have been fine but I don’t want my inspector questioning cutting a truss. It’s not a big deal nailing a few boards in for support for sheathing.

Can you add a Hay loft style hoist with trusses?

I like that idea. After more discussion, my wife doesn’t really want a hoist hanging out there permanently.

Can you add a Hay loft style hoist with trusses?

It was just a thought if I decide I need it. Most likely I will never lift anything that heavy up to that attic space anyway. I’ll probably just store stuff like camping gear or holiday decorations, and maybe a few 2x4s or scrap plywood. The thing is I did have the truss company make beefier...

Can you add a Hay loft style hoist with trusses?

My garage is going up this week. The first 8 feet will be framed with attic trusses. The rest 27 feet will be scissor trusses. I’m using an attic truss at the end so I can have outside access since the inside will only have 2 ft before the first scissor truss. Is there a way to safely add a hay...

Filling Control joints prior to Applying TS210

Thanks guys. I like the idea of throwing in wood or something to act as a form so I don’t have to make a cut. What’s a good concrete patch product that’s easily available at the big box stores or Amazon? I have a container of quickCrete vinyl patch but I hear the color is way darker than the...

Filling Control joints prior to Applying TS210

Has anyone filled control joints prior to using concrete sealers USA ts210? https://www.concretesealersusa.com/ts210-heavy-duty-oil-and-stain-protector-for-concrete-surfaces-4-gal-kit/ I’m trying to figure out the best product to use. That one little chip in the intersection is going to...

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT New 35x24 Garage Build - Veeps' Garage

Re: New 35x24 Garage Build - Veeps' Garage Floated Hand troweled the edges This guy power troweled this slab for about 2 hours until it was smooth. They marked for the saw cuts but then the string broke on the pull start on their saw. They got it fixed on site. Saw cuts done. I have...

Re: New 35x24 Garage Build - Veeps' Garage I don’t know what these are called but they inlayed them at the corner of the walls in between the door locations to prevent cracks.

    Between 705 & 1200 SQ/FT New 35x24 Garage Build - Veeps' Garage

Re: New 35x24 Garage Build - Veeps' Garage So the floor was poured today. Letting the area sit over the winter was a good idea. The freeze thaw helped compact the area even more. I also used the jumping jack to compact the area. Then I soaked it for hours and ran the jumping jack over the...

New slab being poured next week - to seal or not?

Should I tarp the slab the day it’s supposed to get into the low 30 degrees?

New slab being poured next week - to seal or not?

It was poured today. I’m going to water it on a timered sprinkler to keep it moist.

Is Ts210 the best clear finish for the money?

Correct I like the look or natural concrete. I read that the TS210 just slightly darkens the concrete and gives a matte finish. The few pictures of concrete coated with ts210 looks more satin though. Yes it seems like the easiest to repair any areas that get damaged as well. I’m open to hear...

Is Ts210 the best clear finish for the money?

My new garage 840sq ft slab gets poured this week. I am going to let it cure and then coat it in a month. Right now I’m leaning towards concrete dealers USA TS210. I restore a lot of vintage machinery and work on yard equipment which means oil, grease, and gasoline are always spilling on the...

How long does Ghost Shield 8510 Hold Up

Any more insight on this product. My concrete floor is finally getting poured this week so I have about a month to decide and apply a sealer. Is the 8510 any better than the 8505? Does the concrete sweep easier as opposed to raw concrete? Does the look of the concrete change at all? Is...

New slab being poured next week - to seal or not?

Thanks. I am going to skip the cure Md seal and moisture cure it. Luckily the temps are going to be in the 50s for a high for the first 2 weeks and then 60s so it won’t be too bad for keeping the slab wet. I’m hoping I can get at least 2 weeks after the pour before the framers finish framing my...
