Lets have some fun - post beer opening tools! (have to have this word to be legit!)

I can never seem to get a Bic lighter to work for that.

    Milwaukee M18 Search Light Notes

It hasn't dropped below four bars with my 9.0 on the back, which was of course the first thing I tried. Not very helpful for you, there.

    Milwaukee M18 Search Light Notes

This thing is outstanding, and I'll give it a 7/10. It would be higher, but obvious missed opportunities are weighted in my personal evaluations. I want to start off by mentioning the heat sinks. Milwaukee went to someone who knows their stuff when it comes to this light. There's tons of...

    Craftsman 282 Pc. Gunmetal Set @ Lowe’s

Was the question posed on a weekend? People read Garage Journal when they're supposed to be working... It's slower when people are on their own time.

    Pop Rivet Tool / Gun

Does it break them off as cleanly as I suspect it does? By hand, it's very easy to fasten the rivet securely, but also easy to leave too much stem, break it off at an angle, or at variable depth, in that regard. I'm really looking forward to picking one up when I'm not backed up with other stuff.

    Pop Rivet Tool / Gun

I want to buy that Milwaukee M12 rivet gun. If it's any good at all, having the automation will produce cleaner results.

    Gimmick Wrenches, Tools.

Consider them the result of a mating event between Vice Grips and normal pliers. They give you that middle ground that you don't even know is missing until you have the solution in your hand. I wouldn't use them like the commercial without guards (which they used to sell), but in their own...

That's not how you spell Canadia. :) Keep making that sparkling water, though. I love that stuff.

Torque Needed For Job? Torque Possible By Tool?

You don't need a rule of thumb to calculate the force you can exert on a fastener by hand. It's a lever. One pound-foot is one pound on the end of a one foot lever; as measured at the axis of the fastener. Just take that and roll with it.

    Skipped Size Rant

I think the lesson here is that people use all the sizes, and the marketing teams for these manufacturers are out of date idiots. This is no different than lug nuts being sold in packs of four, or screws being sold in packs of precisely one less than you need. Someone ought to beat the snot...

I still use Robogrips. There is a time and place, but at that time and in that place you'll be glad you have them.

    I use a 27mm quite frequently.

    Milwaukee Power Tools Deal Permathread

I think, in the end, it will be a good purchase and a good value. Obviously better at the price you paid, but this isn't so bad. If all's well, I'll pick up some other options for M12. Already got their utility light with the built-in charger. I'd like to fill out cordless lighting. This...

    Name This Tool?

I encountered one of those in a German whorehouse a while back. It was worth the premium.

You can get the M18 Search Light for $79 right now if you look around. I just bought one the other day, and it should be here to play around with on Friday.

You can use a reel on the ceiling and put a small string on the end of the cord to pull it down.
