Does anybody collect pick axe heads?

Yeah, but that looks a lot like the rake I can never use because someone is always borrowing it instead of using theirs. Far better than anything else I've used; and mine's almost certainly an imitation. I'd buy one in a hear... Screw it. I'm going to buy one. They can keep mine. :D

No Edge Pro suggestions? Well, I'll throw it in there, then.

Oscillating multi-tools, what can they be used for?

Are these things any good for cutting sheet metal? I don't know anyone who owns one of the things, so I can't really try one out; but I was considering looking into them. I don't see a lot of thorough explanations of their capabilities, so this thread should be interesting.

At what point do you just chuck all of your junk in a dumpster?

Shelves. Buy shelves... Rent a storage unit, and haul it down there in loads. Sort through each one, and bring back what you need, to be organized properly on the shelves. Do this until you're finished. You'll more than likely have it done in the single month. You do NOT have the room to...

Looking for information on corrugated steel ceiling install

I was considering it in relation to a drywall ceiling. I thought some were installing it in their residence garages. Corrugations, so long as they're just as thick as the flat option in the same metal, will certainly do something to help mitigate reflections. Doesn't take much at all to help...

    Make distributor cap in Lexan/Polycarbonate

High density polyethylene can be shaped well and resists a hell of a lot of stuff; it's about one step down from Teflon, in a way. Coolant bottles and other reservoirs are often made of the stuff. It's incredibly durable when reinforced, thick, or buttressed for lighter weight, and can indeed...

Determining property line on larger property - Surveyor wasn't much help

If someone marks the corners, the problem is solved. Any three non-linear points make a plane; which covers from two dimensions clean on up. Connect the dots and create a shape. Kind of a **** move not to at least flag it on the way back, though. Temporary, but it would make it easier on the...

business class and premium economy class of tools?

No more goofy than having a car you only use once in a while, China plates, high quality alcohol you only drink once in a while, a dress watch, or an original painting on a wall. Want a poster and thumb tacks, instead? There are about a billion available. Same picture, after all. Hell, why...

    Garage Shop Preppers

It's not about an orderly life; mine certainly hasn't been orderly. What it's about is not having your hand out, and yes, that's a thing that happens 100% of the time, several times a year. When you experience enough disorder, you eventually learn to avoid most of the nonsense so you can...

    Garage Shop Preppers

Yup. People who toss those stones are the same people calling to get some of my fuel, borrow my generator, or asking if I'll sell a firearm for some reason, as if they have the first use for one. I don't keep that **** around for zombies or societal foolishness. I keep it around because I've...

Is it okay to wash a paper wet dry vac filter?

Knock out as much filth as you can first so you're not turning it into mud. Beyond that, it's like a computer: Wash it out with a hose, and let it dry. All will be well with the world. :D

    Garage Shop Preppers

I would imagine most here have older, cheaper tools they've bypassed with upgrades to fancier stuff. Pull it out, organize it with socket sticks and tool rolls and all, and shove it in whatever bag or box you have. Don't touch it until you need it, and just grab it when you do and have...

    Garage Shop Preppers

I've always got eight jerry cans in rotation, four big tanks of propane, a bunch of smaller ones, water, food, and so on... I always keep every tank full, as well. End of the day, I'm off to top up whatever I've used. It's the same amount of money on top of the tank as it is the bottom...

Most important specs when purchasing a rechargeable drill and impact wrench?

I think if a wood stake is breaking trying to drive it in the ground, small cordless drills aren't going to do the job reliably no matter who makes it. I guess if I had to, I'd be looking at the biggest, baddest rotary hammer on the market. Even then I'm not sure it'll get everything, and if...
