What tool to compress this clamp?

Wow... That's the answer I was looking for. djb2, you really know your stuff. Thanks. I looked closer at the clamp and there is even CLICR stamped on it. So apparently it's time to again expand the tool collection.

At the end when I couldn't squeeze it together, that is exactly what I did. Thanks for quick reply guys.

What tool to compress this clamp?

I've just been doing some maintenance on my daily driver and one of the things I had to replace was a hose that connects air filter with the throttle body because it was a bit cracked. The old one just had some zip ties holding it in place. The new one came with metal clamps. On the desk I...

Yes. They just recently started selling stuff over internet in Mexico and this box was one of the first items they offered with discount. It was a deal I simply couldn't pass.

Can't really say, because I don't own any Gearwrench ratchets. I really like the Snap-on one though... and it has even finer teeth than Dual 80 (72 vs 100).

    Simple CNC router/engraver

Thanks guys. The electronic part was really not that difficult. This machine was mostly for confirmation that it can be done. Since then I'm gathering material and components to build more serious machine with linear bearings, ball screws and servo motors.

    Simple CNC router/engraver

This thread inspired me to show my machine I build a few years back. It was built on a very tight (student) budget. That is why I re-used as much components as possible. The guides and bronze bushings are from printers. Same with the stepper motors. The mechanism for the machine was completely...

I have no idea what I'm doing...Just ordered parts for a 4x8' CNC plasma table.

Well... actually if the spike is big enough, even with a PCI/PCI express you can fry the whole computer. In case of these machines there should always be a opto-coupler card between parallel port and the machine controller. Just giving out my personal experience  I built a small...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT One car garage/minishop

Thanks guys for the comments  A bit of update what was done this week. I asked about my air setup Here. Well the answers were not so encouraging, but since I already had the copper tubes, I did it anyway. Here is the theoretical setup I did this for various reasons 1. I want to...

Your opinion on my theoretical air setup

The idea behind the copper tubing is to cool the air when the compressor runs with high duty cycle so most of the water should stay in the buffer tank. Unfortunately I'm not going to run dryer. Maybe with a bigger compressor, but not with what I have. Just want to get as much moisture I can...

Your opinion on my theoretical air setup

I've been getting myself together a to do an air line setup in my garage, but before I start measuring and cutting I would like some opinions from you guys (and girls). I'm planning to do everything in 1/2 inch copper pipe with brazed joints. The total length of the copper pipe between main...

    Between 265 & 485 SQ/FT One car garage/minishop

It has been quite a while since I posted any update in this thread. For the last few months I've been quite busy at work, working over 75 hours per week so my time in the shop is pretty limited, but I try to do my best to improve it. Here are some pictures from this weekend. The following...

    Body work tools

Unfortunately there's no Summit, Eastwood or Auto Body Tool mart in Mexico that I know of... The only bodywork tool set I found was the one from Autozone and you can see the quality in the first post. I did also find some bodywork hammers in Grainger, Urrea brand. The quality was a little...

    Another jack failure…

Almost pissed myself laughing when I read this :spit: On a more serious note - got a used hydraulic jack for 10$ and I'm planing to restore it (clean, paint, change seals etc.)
