I had thought about that. I know that the earlier HF tables had an accessory kit that made the table wider. I don't think a kit like that is available now so I am not sure what it would take to retrofit the new tables with side extensions.

Anyone have thoughts on using scew scissor jack to lift the table?

I have Kobalt bottom box that is 42" wide and I really like it. Good quality box...but after seeing the HF 42 incher I wish I would have bought the HF and saved some cash. If I were you I would really consider the HF boxes.

I found an assembly table online a few months back and can't find it again. I was hoping someone could help me. It was a 3' tall by 3' wide by 6' long rectangular box build out of plywood. It had an 18" by 18" by 6' long portion of the box that was hinged and rotated to rest on the floor...

Re: Old man hole cover...ideas? Like others have said, it would make a good table. However if you make it a pub table it would be really top heavy.

Can anyone else try to identify dirtybiker's lift table. I really like the simplicity of the design and the safety catch for the table. Dirtybiker, can you please get us more photos of your lift to help ID the lift? Thanks for posting.

Prometheus, in my opinion I don't see there being any issues. I would think that a guy could leave the rod slightly protruding and let it float by slightly oversizing the holes that the rod goes though in the front legs. As for the amount of lift needed to get the bench mobile would you agree...
