    HF welding cart

I recently went through the same thought process and decided to build my own. Click the link below and look at posts #1 for some background info and #4 for the 90% complete welder cart. I attached photos today in post #4. I am almost finished with it. I have less than $50 in it and not much...

    My homemade welder cart!

Thanks guys. The handle was a bicycle storage rack for a car I repurposed for my cart. It worked out that the width of the bike rack and the cabinet was the same.

    My homemade welder cart!

Well I am almost finished with my cart. I made good progress this weekend. Actually all that I have left is to secure the power strip and make a folding side shelf. I ended up installing four smaller bolts that the rubber cupped feet on the welder straddle to keep the welder from sliding off...

    Organizing wrenches in drawers

I have not seen these other than online but they look like something that you could make. You could stack the same size wrenches this way.

    My homemade welder cart!

Hey all. I wanted to share with everyone my new to me welder cart. I am glad I did my homework searching here on GJ for ideas. Thank you to those that contributed. I picked up a used three drawer filing cabinet and four-4" casters at my local used office /second hand furniture store...

    Spotlighting Work

Slick job there. Looks good. I did the same using house wiring 12-2 with a ground to wrap coils around the light. I use it for automotive work.

    Collapsible workbench concept

Could you take a crack at drawing it? I think I am following you but I would be interested in a drawing.

    HF Welding Cabinet

$200 + seems way to high for a welding cart with drawers. Seems to me that you could pick up a used two drawer office file cabinet, slap on some casters, a handle on the front, some metal hooks and a coat of paint and come out way ahead. Just my $0.02

What is the best method of cooling your compressed air on a budget?

Unless you plan to do some serious painting I would go with option 2. The copper pipe fiting thing is no big deal. My father and I painted my 79' ford pickup in high school with the same setup. If I remembered right we froze 1/2 gallon and gallon milk jugs, cut the plastic off and dropped...

Need coat rack or coat hook ideas for my garage

Well there are a lot of ideas here. I have to say that I am amazed at what everyone came up with. The attached photos are ones I plan to look into as far as cost. I like others also but some might become more expensive than I planned on originally.

    Vise / bench Grinder Mounting

I would say okay for the grinder but recommend buying a hitch receiver mount for the vise. Unless you don't plan to get rough with hammering or wrenching on work pieces in your vise.

    Easiest lift to live with

I have no experience with lifts at home garages. However, I don't see an issue with washing cars inside a garage with an in-floor scissor lift setup. A little up front planning like you are doing is all that it would take. I don't see why you couldn't put a perimeter trough recessed into the...

Need coat rack or coat hook ideas for my garage

I am tired of throwing my coats on the workbench etc. in my garage. I have a few ideas to make a garage themed coat rack but does anyone else have unique ideas for my project? The photos are some of the ideas that I have seen and like. At Menard's last weekend I found cheap claw hammers on...

    A little math help please?

If your 1" roadstone has fines in it like I am thinking there are two conversions you use to get your cubic yards into tons of rock. In Illinois/ Missouri where I live (limestone product) a "compacted" road stone would yield 1.5 tons per cubic yard and "loose or dumped" road stone would yield...
