    Craftsman belt/disc grinder item 21513 R

Thanks for the reply's. I am looking for a 2" belt grinder, disc is OK to have, but I don't think I will use it much. I will use it to clean up small parts that are to hard to hold on to when using an angle grinder. Price range $200-300.00, 3/4 HP. I will look at the HF one. Thank You BUD

    Craftsman belt/disc grinder item 21513 R

Looking at this Craftsman belt/disc grinder to use it for steel and wood. Does anyone have one? Does it work well for you? Any issues with it. Looking at the specs, HP looks a little low. I am also looking at other makes, but can't find one that is not at lease $450.00 and up. Opinions and...

    Everyday carry knives

For years it was always CASE with 3 stainless steel blades. Then I broke my right wrist, so I now have a hard time sharpening my CASE. I have limited movement in my right wrist and just can't get them sharp. Left is fine, but can't get it right. I now use a Craftsman utility knife, blade gets...

My IR Air compressor motor went out (I think)

OK, loosen the belt and remove the belt. Have someone at the breaker, plug, power source. You will spin the motor pulley by hand, then have the other guy plug it in, turn the power on, get power to the motor. If the motor comes up to speed, could be the following, bad start winding, bad...

My IR Air compressor motor went out (I think)

Insure you have power to the pressure switch and the switch is working correctly. By pass the switch and go directly to the motor. If the motor runs, bad switch, if it doesn't run, pull the motor. Looks like there is an arch flash at the bearing housing. Stick your nose in there and smell for...

    DeWalt Tough System music player

I have had ISSUES with Milwaukee, DeWalt, and Bosh shop radios. They usually last about 2-6 months before they go out, nothing but static. I would bring them back to Home Depot and exchange it for another one, that part went well. I finally called all 3 companies and talked to their tech service...

New (to me) Air Compressor, Champion?

Look at the tank, should have a tank drain on the bottom of the tank. I have seen tanks that didn't have drain valve. What they used was a brass fitting that screwed into the side of the tank, the fitting had a barb on the end of the fitting and a weighted hose attached to the barb. The end of...

Looking for advice on this cutting/welding setup

Appears you have 2 complete set ups. The small set is used for A/C work and the big set for larger jobs. I just had my O2 Victor regulator rebuilt, cost me $65.00 for O2 cleaning (black light) and rebuilt You definitely get a BIG YOU **** BUD

I am looking to buy a belt/disc sander/grinder that I can put on my work bench and would like some advice on what types or manufacturer you use. I am looking for a 2"X48" belt and whatever disc it comes with. The disc is a good to have, but not a show stopper if it doesn't have one. I have...

How often do you change air compressor oil and do you use synthetic

I am running air compressor oil 30 W from Amsoil. It is crystal clear when new, I have 200 hrs. on now and it is still crystal clear. Compressor is an Ajax V twin 2 stage, 80 gallon tank running at 175 PSI. No issues. BUD

Compressed air instead of oxygen (oxy/acyt)

Reading all the responses to the question, several actually got it correct. O2 is not flammable, it promotes combustion. Oil, oil vapor or even the natural oil on your hands will combine with O2 and ignite. Anything can combust in concentrations of O2. All parts that are in the presence of 100%...

    Pro'skit MT-2017 multimeter

I will be using it mostly for home use. I can use my Amp probe to check amp draw, my Fluke to check voltage AC and DC. My main objective continuity testing with an audible tone. I really miss the sweep of needle on the analog meter over my Fluke BUD

    Pro'skit MT-2017 multimeter

Has anyone heard of these people? I am looking for a good analog multimeter, but don't need a Simpson. I have 2 Fluke 87 which work great, but some time you really need to see the needle move, old school. BUD

Which blast cabinet would you go with?

I have had my TIP blaster for many years and use it a lot doing hit&miss engine restoration. I found that using a shop vac, your bearings go out fast on the vac motor. I bought the TIP vac system, ended the problem. I also bought the carbide blasting tip instead of the ceramic tips which wear...

    Compressor Plumbing

You are correct, compressor, TEE 1/4" copper tubing then a check valve in the tank. Take a look at Granger, they make brass check valves with a port to hook the tubing directly to the check valve, no TEE needed. The check valve seat may be either Teflon or some type of rubber, I have seen...

How Much Have You Spent at Harbor Freight Tools Thus Far?

I would guess $1500.00-2500.00. I started buying from them is the mid 70's when they were just a mail order. Their store is about 20 miles (and 20-25 red lights) from my house, so I don't go often. I do research what I want, if the results are good, then I will buy it. I have purchased jacks, 20...

    Oilcan that works???

I have 2 Dutton-Lainson, they work good. The only issue is the flexable metal hose, it leaked. I removed the hose and installed 1/4" copper tubing. Now they have become GREAT oil cans, without any leaks. I use them to fill the lubricators on my Hit & Miss engines. BUD

    Drill press motor

I agree with Todd, pull the old switch off and wire the motor per the wiring diagram that is on the motor, then try it and see if it works. The reversing switch involves the start winding and the capicator. If it is not wired correctly, it will just hum and turn slowly. The start capicator may...
