    Non-standard overhead doors

Is anyone using a non-standard size overhead door for their garage for access to equipment? I am in the process of planning my new garage and was thinking of adding a smaller overhead door on the back of my garage for access to lawn tractor, snow blower, etc. I have not had any luck finding a...

    Moving electric meter

My meter has been a remote meter for a couple of years now. I could leave the meter where it is now but then it would be sticking up through the floor of the breezeway. This would be weird. I suppose I could build a box around it.

    Moving electric meter

Yes the service comes up from underground. We called the power company and told us that we own the line from the pole to the house. I have an electrician coming on Monday as well. Tar on block walls?

I am considering a block foundation for my attached garage & covered breezeway. Is there any reason to consider having tar applies to the block walls since this is not living space?

    30x40 Build

I would appreciate any pictures that you can share of the interior. So, the 6" blocks are really 5 1/2"? So does your exterior sheething overlap the block as well? If this is the case, when you apply your door trim, won't this create a 1/2" gap below the sheething? Just trying to figure all of...

brasspike: Just wondering what size blocks are those for your foundation? I am in the process of planning for my garage and will use 2x6 constuction for framing, but 8x16" block would not fit right.

Simonac: Just wondering why you have the exterior verticle strips of wood. Is this to allow nailing surface so that the nails don't penetrate the sheathing?

    My 26x40 garage project

Nice job on your garage. So if my calculations are correct, it took you 8 days to get from start of framing to the point where you are ready for siding? Are you doing the work yourself?
