    Snap On monthly flyer’s

The flyers vary by region. Different promos are run at different times in the various regions. This helps them with supply issues especially on a new tool with high demand. -Former Snap-on dealer

Do battery impacts loose power over time? Time for new battery or air impact recommendations.

Everything electrical will wear out over time. If the one you have is not brushless, bite the bullet and buy the new brushless model and sell your old one in the classifieds or eBay.

If no tool company offered a warranty of any kind, which tool brands would you buy into?

No, I am saying that on total dollars of all tools sold, the dollars of warrantied items would equal to 10-12%. It was mainly sockets, screwdriver blades and 1/2-3/8 adaptors and ratchet kits. I would get the occasional puller parts. The majority of chrome socket broken had been used on an...

If no tool company offered a warranty of any kind, which tool brands would you buy into?

Prices would definitely drop. When I was a dealer, I would normally average about a 10-12% warranty rate. That means for every $1,000 in tools that I sold, I would warranty about $100-$120 worth. This does not factor in the cost of shipping the tools back or the costs of processing the...

Solus Ultra Value / Software Availability

If it is missing the SD card, you are pretty much screwed. It would need to be sent in to Snap-on diagnostics. Quite honestly, it would probably be cheaper to buy a working used Solus Ultra or newer on eBay vs. what Snap-on diagnostics is going to charge you.

Solus Ultra Value / Software Availability

Does it even power on? The Solus Ultra was never available without software. If it doesn't boot up then you were sold a broken unit. You could try contacting Snap-on diagnostics to see what the flat rate repair costs would be.

    Mac vs snap on

I'll also agree with this. The old MAC stuff was good. I know that I am biased but I think that for your basic hard-line chrome tools Snap-on is the best. Unless you are a professional user, it is real hard to justify the cost. I'm glad I got my tools when I was a dealer.

If I was in the market for a quality socket set, I would definitely take a look at this set from Milwaukee. Milwaukee 106pc socket set at Northern Tool

My favorite general purpose socket and bit set.

My only complaint about the set is that the handle is not ratcheting. The handle does attach to the extensions to make either a T handle or a 45 degree driver. Honestly tho, most of the time I am putting the socket on a cordless tool.
