How to get the chuck off my drill

Welp, I purchased an air drill from the cornwell truck the other day. He threw in a jacobs quick change chuck with it. So I went to change it, I pulled the small allen head screw out and went to pull off the chuck but it didnt budge. My coworker (mechanics) told me to put a prybar behind the...

Im working at O'Riellys now so lets talk about Power Torque

The employee discount is 5-10% above store cost. The microguard filters used to be made by Fram. For the last year or so they have been made by WIX. The easiest way to tell is to look at the part number, for example a WIX 57060 crosses to a microguard MGL57060. Mobil makes oreillys oil. Other...

What do you think about Gearwrench & SK tools?

I have the offset reversible standard and metric sets along with the stubby standard and metric sets that I use all the time in a shop environment. Hell, I used my 17mm today. They are awesome tools and I find myself reaching for them before my snap-on FD+ wrenches just for the convenience and I...

What size sledge hammer do you use?

I've got a couple at work as a diesel mechanic. The wilton BASH sledge hammers are absolutely awesome. I don't know off the top of my head what the weights and sizes are so I cannot contribute to that discussion.

    Let's see your toolbox.

My cornwell dealer is trying to sell me a box that has keyless entry. My understanding is that I have a key fob in my pocket and anytime I get father than maybe 10 feet away from my box, it locks. He says they will officially be released next month. Has anyone had a chance to look at one? It's...

This is why we buy good tools :)

Snap-on swapped it out on the spot for free. My instructor also had a tool budget that exceeded $2500/month though... He mightve just eaten the warranty claim. :dunno:

This is why we buy good tools :)

Sorry, that should've said 24". 1/2" drive. It was the largest breaker bar we had in my training program (we were the first class and they were still picking up tools). lets just say that it was not an easy thing to do, however, I've seen many people stand on a breaker bar like that and it...

We bent a 12" snap-on breaker bar trying to torque the headbolts on a paccar MX13... No cheater pipe or anything. Maybe we just got bad steel? :dunno:
